Challenge
Tatra Trucks was struggling to incorporate effective data backup processes as its environment comprised of virtual servers on both VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V platforms. As the infrastructure at Tatra Trucks used technologies from a variety of vendors, the vehicle manufacturer sought an expert partner who had experience and advanced knowledge across all platforms.
Solution
Our technical specialists designed a platform, based on Veeam backup software, that was a perfect fit with Tatra Truck’s goals and existing IT infrastructure. Our solution was based on a Backup-to-Disk-to-Tape (B2D2T) process with a dedicated disk system, just for backups, and a tape library. All the virtual machines in the VMware and Hyper-V virtual environment allow Tatra Trucks to achieve a high level of granularity.
